Greetings Everyone, as I am sure many of you may have been aware of the fact that we did not have the functionality to change names at the GM level. The only way to do was to give you a name change scroll and force you to change your character name or be banned. This has now changed.
We currently have the functionality to change Names and Guild Names. We will be investigating Guilds and Character Names and if necessary we will be changing names.
Character Name changes:
We will be replacing the name with a generic template of our choosing, for example ‘BadName024’ ‘RenameMe043.’ We will not change these names to anything else. Name Changes will be only for inappropriate names only. Any request for name changes will be promptly refused.
Names will be changed for the following reasons only:
Bypassing name / swear filters
Prejudice, Racist, Sexist, or Offensive names
Spoofed name (names meant to sound like, look like or harass other players)
Guild Name changes:
We will allow the Guild names to be changed to an appropriate name. We will email the Guild Leader who in turn has 24 to supply us with an appropriate Guild name. If no response is given the Guild Name will be changed to a generic template i.e. ‘BadGuild02.’
Guild Names will be changed for the following reasons only:
Bypassing name / swear filters
Prejudice, Racist, Sexist, or Offensive names
Spoofed name (names meant to sound like, look like or harass other Guilds)
Everything will be looked at on a case by case basis and all decisions are non-debatable.
If you feel that your Guild or Character name is offensive, DO NOT wait for us to find you. Email us at corum@gala-net.com and if necessary we will change names to an appropriate name of your choosing with our approval. If you see a character or Guild with an offensive or abusive name please report them immediately to corum@gala-net.com
Furthermore, any repeated abuse of the naming of your characters will result in more severe action including but not limited to permanent banning.
